Changelog - 9/6/2021


It's the next Centum update - Patch 1.04!

Changes:

- Added enchanted anvils! These special anvils will consume your equipped relic, converting them into a permanent passive upgrade for your character! You can find these anvils occasionally in every shop level.  Keep in mind that the price of use is expensive gold wise and not all relics are compatible for anvil smashing, so save up and be sure to examine relics by left clicking them before considering!

Upon use, you are permanently bestowed a boon for the rest of the run! Here, an amulet of Harvest was sacrificed, giving the player its effects passively (restore health on kills


- Added new scroll spell: Exchange. Using a scroll of exchange will transmute all loot below you into a different item of the same type! These can be used on almost anything: potions, scrolls, food, weapons, armors, relics - if it's something you can pick up, it can be exchanged!

- New enemy capabilities: smiting and digging. When you're in a level with a smiting enemy, you may notice a target reticle placed on you - that's your cue to move! Staying too long in its sights will cause a nasty lightning bolt to strike you, dealing a percent of your current health.

- Digging monsters will tunnel through walls, completely converting them into walkable paths. Be wary of diggers exposing you to a flank attack!

- New monsters added: kobold digger (difficulty 5, can dig), lightning rod (difficulty 5, smites).


- Demon wall monster immobile ability removed. Now digs. Archmage (difficulty 9) now smites, as well as empowers/heals/range attacks.

- Status effects for Charm/Poison/Stun/Blind/Corrosion are now visible on all afflicted monsters (including you).

- Damage numbers now appear when dealing damage.

- Defense has been reworked. Armor now applies a ( 1 - defense value) damage reduction on incoming attacks. Armor absorption and Evasion is unaffected.

- To counter-act this, enemy health and damage has been reduced across the board for difficulties 2-8.

- New food type: iron rations. Iron rations are a seldom but delightful treat amongst rogues, giving +1 defense and +4 max hitpoints on consumption.

- Food rations now give +2 max hitpoints on use. Ambrosia now gives +6 max hitpoints on use.

- Fixed a bug where all items were not being spawned on level, which sometimes caused the Amulet of Zot to not spawn. 

- Added a new secret macguffin.
