It's a fun game, I enjoyed it. I find the weapon stats a bit confusing , both the sabre and the hammer/axe said +0 next to them, I definitely could just be missing something though. That being said, I doubt I personally would have noticed a huge difference either way

In regards to differences, the hammer has +5 damage / -1 accuracy and has a chance to stun enemies while the sabre is +3 damage / 2 accuracy and has a chance to hit twice. You can click on any item or monster in this game to get more information about them.
No problem, like I said I really enjoyed it. I actually think I saw the weapon stats or something similar while skimming some of the changelogs after I made my comment
